‘Nothing happened to blame Communication Ministry’

Inland water transport minister Shahjahan Khan has said that drivers are not behind the escalating road crashes in Bangladesh's highways. He said this to the newsmen on Sunday, a day after acclaimed filmmaker Tareque Masud and Bangladeshi broadcast journalism pioneer Mishuk Munier were killed in a deadly road accident with three others.

Students of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College and their guardians continued their protests on Tuesday demanding punishment of Parimal Jayadhar, a teacher of the institution arrested on charge of raping a student, and resignation of the college principal, Husne Ara Begum, for defending the accused.
